A graduate of the University of Maryland, the Community College of the Air Force, and
the Defense Language Institute, Steve Tyler has completed training with the Department of Defense in intelligence collection. He served 12 years in the U.S. Air Force and 7 years with the National Security Agency, contributing significantly to national security and intelligence initiatives.
His career includes 15 years in the oil and gas industry, 13 years in renewable energy,
and 4 years specifically in the commercial solar sector.
Building on this extensive experience, Steve founded JT & S with the goal of providing
sustainable land development and infrastructure solutions. This company is a reflection of his commitment to environmental responsibility, technical precision, and excellence in service.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, he is most proud of his 30-year journey as a dedicated father to six sons, which has been a deeply rewarding part of his life.
With over 20 years of experience in the construction industry, Kris Blakely is a seasoned professional dedicated to building sustainable solutions. His career is marked by a strong foundation in practical skills and leadership, shaped significantly during his 8 years of service with the United States Navy Seabees, where he developed expertise in construction, teamwork, and project management in high-pressure environments.
Following his military service, Kris transitioned into the utility solar industry, where he has spent the last 12 years making a profound impact on renewable energy projects. His comprehensive knowledge of solar technology, combined with a commitment to safety and efficiency, has allowed him to successfully oversee numerous large-scale solar installations from conception to completion.
Kris’s unique blend of military discipline and extensive construction experience enables him to approach each project with a strategic mindset and a strong focus on quality. He is passionate about promoting sustainable energy solutions and continually strives to educate clients and communities about the benefits of solar power.
In addition to his technical skills, Kris is known for his strong communication and leadership abilities, fostering collaboration among diverse teams to ensure successful project outcomes. He remains committed to innovation within the solar field and is dedicated to contributing to a more sustainable future.
With a foundation in Administrative Technology and Marketing, Melinda has been closely connected to the energy sector from an early age, gaining valuable insights and experience. She joined JT & S Energy in August 2023, bringing a deep commitment to
the industry and a strong belief in the impactful work done. Her professional journey over the past decade has also encompassed property management and digital marketing, experiences that have refined my skills and enriched her perspective in this field.
